All systems are go. TrinidadShopping.com, the new online e-commerce company set up by Ultra Consulting Network, has been picking up speed recently, with more and more businesses in Trinidad looking to grab a piece of the action.

The online company held a launch last week at the Hilton Trinidad to promote the Web site and its usage.

Managing director Gunther Richter said there were over 80 representatives from different businesses present to get an insight into the operations of the company.

The company's marketing is done through COLE Communications, a new marketing agency owned and managed by Nicole Cobham.

Cobham organised the event, which featured presentations and features, including an address by Selby Wilson, the secretary general of CANTO.

Richter made a formal presentation, explaining how the sites work and the different plans the company offers, from its free plan to its silver-plus plan.

He was pleased with the turnout and very excited about the future prospects for the company.

"We got good feedback, people are very interested in becoming a part of the company, I have even had people calling for jobs from Canada," said Richter.

The launch attracted TrinidadShopping.co's existing clients like DOMA president Gregory Aboud, who made an endorsement speech recommending the company.

Potential clients also stopped by to get a first-hand look at what the company does and met the brain behind the operation.

Representatives from Tidco, Chancellor Hotel, Courts, Stechers and the National E Commerce Secretariat, were among the guests.

Some existing clients like West Mall, Caribbean Investor Magazine and Caribbean E Business Magazine, put up exhibitions at the launch, advertising their stake in TrinidadShopping.com.
